Hi!
I am getting a strange error in the initialization of the solver. I have never encountered this error before, and I have no more ideas on how to solve it. I am using Ansys CFX 16.1 The error occurs in the partitioning part of the solver. The geometry is relatively large (~85 million elements) So I have tried to use the "Large problem partitioner", but that didn't help. Do you have any idea on how I should address this problem? Here is a draft from the out-file: +--------------------------------------------------------------------+ | Job Information at Start of Run | +--------------------------------------------------------------------+ Run mode: partitioning run Host computer: HPC-POLLUX (PID:3752) Job started: Sat Apr 02 07:39:50 2016 +--------------------------------------------------------------------+ | ERROR #001100279 has occurred in subroutine ErrAction. | | Message: | | io_gunzip: decompressed too little data: got 400000 bytes, expect- | | ed 547356 | | | | | | | | | +--------------------------------------------------------------------+ +--------------------------------------------------------------------+ | ERROR #001100279 has occurred in subroutine ErrAction. | | Message: | | read_compressed_dataarray: decompression failed | | | | | | | | | | | +--------------------------------------------------------------------+ +--------------------------------------------------------------------+ | ERROR #001100279 has occurred in subroutine ErrAction. | | Message: | | iocnt: read data failed | | | | | | | | | | | +--------------------------------------------------------------------+ +--------------------------------------------------------------------+ | ERROR #001100279 has occurred in subroutine ErrAction. | | Message: | | RedSht: read data failed: what=G/NFCFS where=ZN1 | | | | | | | | | | | +--------------------------------------------------------------------+ +--------------------------------------------------------------------+ | ERROR #001100279 has occurred in subroutine ErrAction. | | Message: | | Stopped in routine RedSht | | | | | | | | | | | +--------------------------------------------------------------------+ +--------------------------------------------------------------------+ | An error has occurred in cfx5solve: | | | | The ANSYS CFX partitioner exited with return code 1. | +--------------------------------------------------------------------+ |

That certainly is a weird error. I would try:
* different partitioning algorithms * doing a partitioning only run and write a partition file. Try doing this on several machines. * Check your def file is good - go back to CFX-Pre and check it and regenerate it. |
