Hello,

Is someone can help me with this error.

Update failed for the Solution component in Fluid Flow (CFX). The solver failed with a non-zero exit code of : 2

I'm getting that error window when I want to make Solution in Ansys.

https://www.sendspace.com/file/ydk5fk

I was reading that topis but I have no idea what they are talking about.

http://www.cfd-online.com/Forums/cfx...-code-2-a.html

Can someone explain me what should I do to make it work. I very need it to work.

P.S I'm analysing fluid flow through the pipe with baffels. I made geometry using SolidWorks. Idk if this information will help in solving problem.

Open the output file (not the results file) from CFX, and see if there is an error message before the software exit. The exit code errors after a solver failure, and can be summarized as 0 (success), not 0 (not success before returning control to the operating system). The list of non-zero codes is platform dependent as far as I have seen.

What should I do to deal with ?

P.S I've found topic with the same problem but still can't solve it

The failure has occurred in the interpolator step while restarting the simulation with some kind of initial values file.

It seems it failed to estimate the incorrect size of something. Have you been successful restarting run previously ? Have you changed some specific between the previous run, and the one with the failure ?

I am working on that case all day long and since I've started my simulation succeed only once just a minutes ago. I made a geometry one more time and I realized that problem could be in geometry. When I changed shaft lenght and between this shaft and inlet or outlet surfaces there aren't any small empty spaces solver works correctly. On the other hand when I made this shaft longer a bit so that it stick out of fluid inside my tube then it doesn't works.

Why it happens ?

I do not understand your question and your link is broken. Please attach the image to the forum post.

You have to see this on picture to understand jh
When that small cylinder which is in the middle of geometry goes outside pipe (crosses inlet of tube) solver doesn't work but I made it shorter and it is inside pipe it's OK. It's my question

This looks like a simple moving mesh simulation. But I still don't understand what your problem is. Can you show an image of what it looks like just before it fails?

With some careful rejigging of your domains you can get this to handle when the central stick leaves the pipe. Can you post a cross section of your mesh through the central stick and the end of the pipe and I will suggest some ideas.
