Hi...... I am modelling a catalytic converter in CFX and the honeycomb model takes a toll on the system...... How can I implement the axial symmetry feature in the model ??

Have a look at the tutorials. It has an example for modelling a catalytic converter which uses a porous medium.

Axial symmetry is a 2D simulation - see http://www.cfd-online.com/Wiki/Ansys...tion_in_CFX.3F
