I am trying to simulate the flow in a catalytic converter with a honeycomb structure so is there a way to create a honeycomb structure in Design Modeler or we have to create it manually ??

If you don't need the detailed flow inside the honeycomb you can replace it with a porous region. Have a look at the tutorials for this. But if you want the detailed flow inside the honeycomb you will have to draw it and model it.

Yes, you will have to draw it manually if you want the flow details. Have a look at the sketching tools in Designmodeller so you can see if any of the available methods will assist.
If I was doing this I would generate the geometry in a "real" solid modelling package like Solidworks, ProE, Unigraphics or similar. They have much more options for drawing shapes like this. |
