Have you set a reference pressure? It looks like you have not set a reference pressure in one or more domains.

Hey i'm simulating an unsteady flow in a single stage centrifugal compressor and have some similar problems. After having simulated the unsteady flow behavior with the fourier transformation (time integration), i wanted to switch to the harmonic balance method. However, the simulation aborts after a few seconds and gives me an error message that I can't do much with. does anyone have any idea what the problem might be here?

Best to start a new query here since your problem is not related at all.
Nevertheless, looking at the error, there is a problem with the routine CPERIOD. So, probably if has to do with periodic boundaries. Can you check these? |

Hey Gert-Jan,
i realized this as well, but I didn't notice anything unusual with the periodics, especially since there were no problems with the time integration with this set up. However, I have seen another warning concerning the frozen rotor interface, which is located between the inlet and the rotor. After I removed the whole inlet domain and defined this interface as a new inlet, the simulation did not stop anymore. |
