Hi all,

I am simulating a contra-rotating compressor in CFX ansys , and for the interface between two rotors (rotating at 3600 rpm) I have used "stage" model for Frame change and pitch change, the no of blades are also different in both rotors.

I am finding a Total pressure loss of around 15% of what my rotors are producing at the interface , can someone suggest a solution for this

Thanks in advance

which pith change type did you use? the best way is to set it up to automatic if you don't know pitch angles directly.

I have given 'Automatic' option for pitch change... and 'stage' for framce change..

The area of each interface is different, bcoz rotor 1 has 8 blades (we have small model) and rotor 2 have 9 blades.

then try to specify pitch angles (45deg on side 1 and 40 on side 2)
