Hi everyone

Can anyone help troubleshooting this error? I'm using Ansys 13.0. The mesh statistics are around 550,000 nodes. The CFX solver works well for mesh below 550,000 nodes but not above 550,000 nodes. Below are the errors that came out. The error message mentions a licence for all models is missing. Appreciate if anyone can help solving this problem. Thanks.

Hi,

Isn't it obvious, there is something wrong with the license... If you use the search tool you would have found topics related to your error

Hi,

Check the license manager to see if the solver is checked out. Sometimes the licenses do not check themselves back in again properly. Check the license manager log file, that may also help.

99% of licensing problems like this are fixed by shutting the the license server machine down and starting up again. A bit brutal and it can be done far more elegantly if you know how to drive license servers but it works and is simple.

As post #2 says, the error is obvious. You could not check out a license for a mesh with >512k nodes. Either they were already in use by other users, or something is wrong in your license setup.
