Hi there!
Project available for CFD consultants with a fast turn around needed. Analytics need to be completed in order to turn into marketing materials for a conference at the beginning of November. Specifically we need an expert in microenvironments. If you do CFD for large-scale building systems - this is probably not your project. We manufacture caging systems for laboratory animal science and have an individually ventilated system that could benefit from some expert analysis. Each unit is 700"^3 and a system can incorporate anywhere from 28-144 units. The fluidic environment will have factors of humidity, ammonia concentration, CO2 concentration and convection currents due to animal body heat. If these parameters are within the scope of your expertise, please be in touch and I can give out more information. Thanks for your time. |

Thank you for the opportunity to defend my industry. 2 animal studies are required for every item behind the pharmacist, before human trials. The majority of studies are conducted in mice specifically bred for research. So if you have never benefited from modern pharmaceuticals, never needed an antibiotic, experienced polio or required surgery, never known anyone with a pacemaker, pin in their leg, a dependence on an inhaler, then, sure, cast the first stone about animal testing. However if you are uninformed about how our modern way of life depends on animal testing, then I encourage you to educate yourself about this incredible field full of caring scientists, veterinarians and technicians. If you would like to volunteer for testing these modern marvels, I encourage you to do so, however, our collective protective federal regulations will require 2 animal studies before anything touches a human volunteer subject.

I'm not sure if HE will take the "collective protective federal regulations" as an excuse for killing. Maybe you will be reborn as pharmamice in your next life :-) |

Perhaps... and perhaps Douglas Adams was right and the mice are actually experimenting on us! Oh to have the question...
"Let us put the number of animals used in perspective. Scientists in the US use approximately 11-25 million animals in research, of which only less than 1 million are not rats, mice, birds or fish. We use fewer animals in research than the number of ducks eaten per year in this country. We consume over 1800 times the number of pigs than the number used in research. We eat over 9,000 chickens for every animal used in research. For every animal used in research, it is estimated that 14 more are killed on our roads." ~Speaking of Research Please educate yourself: https://speakingofresearch.com/facts/statistics/ https://fbresearch.org/biomedical-re...testing-facts/ |

Thank you all for your interest. This project is now closed. We are not entertaining any more freelance options. Thanks again for your interest.
