Hi everyone
I am a new STAR-CCM+ user, I need to launch a decay test for a square cross-section using STAR-CCM+, I suppose that would be something like a mass-spring system but I don't really know how to set it up in STAR-CCM+! I already created my model using 3D-CAD modeler in SATR-CCM+, could any walk me through it please? Cheers |

Hi there, well in my case i needed to perform a decay test with one degree of freedom in rotation (around z axis), to do so after creating DFBI i added "torsional spring moment" in sub-folder "External forces and moments", then i defined a "Relaxation Angle", and i simply ran my simulation, in your case you might need to do something similar but adding a force rather than torsional spring moment i suppose! i hope that would help
