Hi, Everyone,

I installed Ansys 2002 r2 in windows 11 Enterprise with the following error for license manager installing (see the figure):

The installation completed with warnings/errors. Due to the severity of these errors, we are unable to launch the License Management Center. Review any.err or.log files in:
C:\Program Files\ANSYS Inc

and I open install_licconfig.err, which show:
FATAL ERROR: could not find cmd.exe under was encountered in method CLicRunProcess::ExecuteCmdUsingMergedOutputChannel s.
The licensing configuration cannot continue until this issue is resolved. Exiting.


I follow the methods (https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/...1-c9efa6991153) to set up the computer and re-install ansys 2022, but there's the same errors.

I had the same error until i solved it.

Just go to the installation location of "Ansys Inc" and point towards the respective directory as shown and run the command "ansyslm_config.exe -install -lang en-us" in cmd (running as administrator), image added for reference.

NOTE: You might get a stdout as "Qt: Untested Windows version 6.2 detected! ", but dont worry.. it just seems to be a warning. Now, search for the ansys License manager in the Start menu in windows. It will be installed successfully.

Only tested on 2023 R1 Ansys.

why it didnt work out for me
