How to create OUTPUT parameters in SpaceClaim?

Hi guys,
I'm facing a difficulty: in SpaceClaim, I wrote a script to represent an airfoil and to deform its leading edge (to be able to optimize it later). I also perform two calculations in this script (the area of the modified leading edge and its perimeter) that I would like to use in the Workbench as output parameters. I can't find a way to do this. Can someone help me? Thank you in advance, Thomas. Last edited by pinkerthoms; March 3, 2020 at 05:39. |

Hi guys,
I asked the SpaceClaim team and they told me that it was not possible to create OUTPUT parameters. So what I did to overcome this problem (i.e. having the curvilinear length and the cross-sectional area of the airfoil of my 2D geometry) is to use report definitions in Fluent (area and volume). Since my domain is in 2D, the area of the airfoil gives me the curvilinear length and the volume gives me the cross-sectional area. Now I can define constraints based on these values. I hope this will help some of you, Thomas. |
