Hi all,
I have to simulate an asymmetric flow into a symmetric geometry. I have then created the mesh (with ICEM, a structured mesh) for the half of the geometry and I have now to mirror it in order to use the whole geometry. My questions are: - is it better to do that in FLUENT or in ICEM? - how to do that? I know how mirror a mesh in ICEM but I don't know if doing that it is able to links and connect correctly the nodes at the interface. Maybe I have to do some supplementary operation? Also I don't want mirror separately the geometry and then the blocking because I should modify all the edges bunching in the mirrored part. Thanks in advance philus |

Ok, nobody answers.
Finally I decided to mirror the computed mesh in ICEM. Doing that you have the possibility to choose the option "merge nodes" and "delete duplicate elements" and apparently it works well. I also used this as reference. Cheers |
