Dear ICEM experts,
I'm trying to build mesh for the burner with 3 injection area in ICEM, the 3 different injection area are in the same surface and shown in the following pictures. There are no further inside structre of it.
Could anyone tell me how to build the block for it or give a hint?
I also attach the file Question_3injection.zip

diamondx will become famous soon enough
you will mesh the cylinder like normal. nothing really special. then create three different parts (surfaces) so fluent can recognize them as ddifferent boundaries.

Hi, Ali, thanks for your reply. I've tried as you said, but fluent only recognize the 1st and 3rd inlet area, and the surface mesh look like the following pic(I've already set 3 different inlet in ICEM)

here is the little effort made by me. I checked them in fluent and every thing is fine.

I am also uploading 3 parts video on youtube and shall post links in next post.

You forgot to associate small curve. So internal block was distort and you set the length of edges to 1.

Ah, some small adjustments are still needed. My primary aim was to clarify the process of creating the o-block and getting different inlets with different boundary conditions in Fluent (Obviously learned from Simon the great http://www.cfd-online.com/Forums/ans...em-fluent.html)

If needed I can rectify these problems and upload new tin and blk files.

thanks, everyone, especially Far. I've build the mesh under Far's instruction, and it turned to be very cool.
The video didn't just help me with this case, but also give me many inspiration about the similar problems. I think it's very good for a beginner like me.
By the way, Dear Far, I'm not sure which small adjustments you mentioned, is it important? the quality of mesh I built following your method are all over 0.5, is that OK?

Actually Ralen is referring to video where the inner most blocks was adjusted. Also he is referring to wrong edge-curve association, which was later corrected in part II (Or part I, I am not sure which part but it is done)

On the other side of cylinder (opposite to injector) I didn't link the edge to opposite side edges, by this we may get even better quality.

This is good quality, but still can be improved as discussed above.

I have found one mistake in part I at 3:11 where I have associated four edges to two curves and in reality there were three curves (one is very small).

@Ralen : I apologise that I didn't understand your comment. You are correct . Thats why inner block was distorted. Thanks
