Hey everyone, I'm supposed to do this geometry's CFD. However, I usually use Siemens Star CCM, and there it is much easier to use blocks while making structured mesh. Right now I am trying to find the mesh at the entrance of the inlet but it seems not to work. I can't simply change the number of nodes of each block's edge independently from one another. If I change one the parallel ones also change as well. The "copy method" is also not selected. How can I tackle this? I have all the separate blocks I just need to know how can I mesh these blocks separately.

It depends on how you created the block.

If you used extrude method, it shouldn't behave like that.

If you create one big block, cutting it, and deleting the block that is not used. You need to permanently delete the blocks in between those two by check the box in the delete block option. Deleting block in ICEM does not necessarily deleting it, it just transfer the block to part named "VORFR" (if I'm not mistaken the name) and thus it will be considered parallel as the block is hidden in the VORFR part.

edit: grammatical error
