Hello all. I am meshing a 2D bell nozzle and I have made it's structured mesh as shown in figures 1 and 2. My supervisor has asked me to make a mesh that has all the lines at a perpendicular to the wall and axis of rotation as those drawn by hand in the third picture (on paper). I have searched a lot and couldn't find anything like this or some procedure for making this mesh. Can some one help me in this regard whether this can be generated in be not and if yes then how? Thanks in advance
Kindly reply ASAP please as I have to report this by tomorrow.

Yes, I think this mesh can be generated; you are asking about the mesh appearing on the diagonal line, right?

If you want the mesh on an angle, you have to make a blocking of that wedge shape in that zone. Sorry, I only know ICEM, but hopefully someone who knows ANSYS meshing will come by to shed light on how it’s done in ANSYS meshing.

aero_head, yes you can assume it as a sort of axi-symmetric C-type MESH in the diverging section of the nozzle. Unfortunately, I am unable to find any method of generating it in ANSYS Fluent.

Hello Syed,

Here is a good video I know of: https://youtu.be/Lx_kjZiKREk

If you look at around 4:26 in that video, for example, instead of creating the vertical lines, maybe you can try putting them on an angle when making your zones.
