Hi everyone,

very basic question (I'm new to Spaceclaim):
does Spaceclaim display curvature in an angular fashion or did I make some error?

I highlighted some awkward shapes in the image below. The surface bit is of approx. 0.3 mm depth and was generated in Spaceclaim using "Blend" between the edge loops. The left edge loop was generated using "Sketch"-> "Circle" (then extrusion to the left), everything on the right was imported (.step).

When moving on to meshing, it looks similarly angular and I get a meshing error, so just wondering, if the error could be caused by this awkward curvature.

Thanks!
K

In my experience it is just a display error.

However, my experience is also that sometimes meshing goes better if you cut surfaces that span 360°, into sections of 180° or 90°. Additionally the display in spaceclaim improves as well.

Thanks, Gert-Jan! Helpful hint; I didn't know that.
