Dear all,

I am trying to make hexa mesh for the DTMB hull using ICEM CFD, for different case study, I will use FLUENT as solver,

The main problem that I have a negative elements and the angel is zero,
I tried make O grid in the stern check double vertices,no solution!!

I did the main blocks and every thing seem to all right except those elements, I am trying since 6 months to find solution before I decide to post,

I appreciate your help,if you have experience how to solve it or if you had same problem please share the solution with me.

Could you share a quality histogram and some screenshots of the region with problems?

If there is a zero angle, there might be the chance that you squashed a block. Such block would have almost zero thickness, und would look like a thin layer when you display only blocks.

You obviously know about scan planes. Investigate that region with bad elements further, and maybe share screenshots from a couple of different views.

Investigate how the respective blocks are formed. Why deviate they from the optimal cube shape. Which edges intersect others.
