Hi.
New to ICEM. Created a 2D axisymmetry geometry on Solidworks and imported the IGES file to ICEM. I created surface for the boundary and named them. Created .msh file (convert to unstructured mesh ->select solver->write input) Icem.PNG The problem I am facing is when I use fluent3DMeshToFoam filename.msh, I get all parts except axis. I need this for my boundary as I have to mention in my 0 files boundaryField Code:
axis { type empty; } Any help would be appreciated. |

I assume that has to do with 2d-elements being exported/associated or not. Out of the box I was able to find this: Problems with export 2D mesh from ICEM to FLUENT
In my 3d meshes, i always collect points and curves in one part, which I never see later in cfx. |

Earlier I was using blockMeshDict file to make my geometry. But now I am trying to use ICEM.
I followed https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mVseZHD7TQU and was able to get the axis part working. icem2.PNG openfoam2.PNG However, the second issue that I am currently facing is front and back wedge. Below attached are 2 boundary files. Left - from ICEM and Right - from blockMeshDict (works fine) I tried following https://www.openfoam.com/documentati...oundaries.php: renaming the boundaries (case sensitive) defaultFaces changing axis nFaces to 0 openfoam3.PNG error.PNG Error! Any help??? |
