Hi,
I am trying to mesh an external flowfield around a propeller using hexa blocking. The computational domain is divided into two parts:
1. Farfield (stationary frame)
2. Disc around the blade (Rotational frame)

I've split the blocks and used O-grids around the blade section. Everything is fine until I click Pre-Mesh>Project Surfaces. Grid lines are crossing each other almost everywhere along the blade. I've tried moving the O-grid vertices that are associated to the airfoil sections but there's no improvement. I've attached the screenshots.

Thanks for your help.

Hi Sachin,

Looks like an association problem to me. Check if all your edges / vertices are associated to curves / points. Also under the pre-mesh you can either project to surfaces or edges so check the option you've picked.

Have fun

Thanks alot Gwenael. I re-checked all my associations and, more importantly, I split the blocks' edges (linearly and as splines) to align them with the airfoil sections. This ensured that the blocks conformed to the surfaces and, essentially, that it prevented any 'distortion' of mesh while projecting it onto the the surfaces.
