Exporting good ICEM mesh to Fluent results in poor quality mesh

Hi guys. I am meshing a cylinder with a disc attached on it in ICEM. I have some refinements in it (3 levels but all are 2:1 - so at the deepest level the mesh is 8 times finer than the unrefined). All quality measures showing no problem but when i am exporting the mesh to Fluent some left and right handed faces appear and elements with high aspect ratios 3.8e+04 appear. Furthermore, the minimum ortho skew is 1 and the minimum ortho quality in Fluent is 0. When I am checking the Fluent aspect ratio in ICEM it says 3.8e+01. What can happen during the export to Fluent that the mesh gets destroyed so badly. As ICEM is giving me no errors except the usual uncovered faces i don't know how to solve this problem. Maybe someone of you guys can help me with your experience. Thanks!

Fix the uncovered faces first.
You most likely find something in the forum search with the terms "icem uncovered faces" Compare the definitions of ICEM and Fluent quality criterions. Their calculation can be different. It's likely that balrog used the search function and was a bit more persistent. She/he might have found posts such as Problems with export 2D mesh from ICEM to FLUENT |
