[ANSYS Meshing] Control number of element in thickness with ANSYS MESHING

Dear all,

if I have a plate, which is 1 mm thick, and I want to mesh it in ANSYS Meshing, how can I make sure that there are 4 elements in thickness throughout the plate?

Please let me know.

In this case, do I have to mesh the face first?

Why is this body now sweepable? Logically it should be ...

There may be an extra geometry point or such that is very small. Show the points to see this. There has to be a mismatch (even very hard to see) between the face faces if it is saying it's not sweepable.

The circular part in the middle is a split face. I did this to have a conformal meshing with a cylinder which is above it ... Is this the problem? I tried to merge the faces using Virtual Topology but I could not do it either
