Hi,
I have here a very interesting problem, which I would like to solve: I built up an very simple mesh with perfect cell quality. Only two blocks (generated by splitting). For one block I used the "refinement" function . ("blocking"->"pre-mesh params"->"refenement") (see figure 1) After that I mirrored the generated mesh (without the blocking) with activated options “copy” and “merge nodes”. (see figure 2) As recommended I deleted the redundant upper surface shells with were inside the volume after mirroring. When reading the mesh in fluent, the following error appears: “Cell is missing face: Cell 1858, zone 9, at location ( 2.53906e+00, 1.04167e+00, 6.90234e-01). Clearing partially read grid. Error: Build Grid: Aborted due to critical error. “ I looked for the coordinates given in the error notification by generating a point at this place. It was the first corner-cell after the refinement. (see figure 3) What to do? Where can be the Problem? Important: Reading refined mesh without the mirroring works as well as reading a mirrored mesh without refinement. IT’S THE COMBINATION, that makes problems? Isn’t that interesting? Would be glad about some hints. Thanks figure 1.jpg figure 2.jpg figure 3.jpg |
