Hello,
I am trying to create a mesh using sweep and mapped face meshing. I have minimum orthogonal quality to be 0.43 and maximum orthogonal skew to be 0.39. however, maximum orthogonal quality is 255. I am made aware that this should be around 10 to 20, and my residuals are quite high and oscillating. I doubt if this is due to this high aspect ratio. Please let me know how one can reduce this maximum aspect ratio. Thanks in advance. |

First, try to locate where the high aspect ratio cells are with contours. or some other tool for visualization. Second, try to enhance the mesh with either the adapt tool within Fluent or go back to your meshing tool and simply create a mesh where the cells are of a more suitable aspect ratio.
