Dear All,
I'm a new user in ansys fluent and have a problem in updating my mesh. I work on a backward facing step model as seen in the figure (Please Follow numbers on figure below) [1.] I've created a parameter table and chosen 7 parameters to study; Geometric parameter from design modeler (Yc & Xc) Velocity magnitude from fluent (Vin) Fluid Properties from fluent (Rho, Cp, K and Mu) and set Reynlod's numebr as an output parameter from CFD-Post (Re) [2.] After solving, i'v found that Fluent read Vin which I've supplied in parameter set [3.] unfortunately ANSYS Mesher can't read geometric values supplied by parameter set, while DM read them correctly. This can be seen if you compared the location of the circle in DM and Mesher..... - The final solution gives me results for the wrong location as a result of the mesher update problem - ansys didn't show any warnings or error messages I tried to reset ansys mesher and rebuild my mesh again but nothing changed. _______________ I've checked the source file of geometry from Mesher and opened it separately, it showed the correct geometry but the mesher still show the wrong one I truely appreciate your help... Thank you |

kh.aa,
If you want to answer a question, use English as it is not preferred but only used language in this forum! |

First of all, you have explained your problem nicely.
This is bit tricky to answer without having the actual setup. It would be nice, if you can upload it somewhere. If you cant then can you post picture of the parameter setup in DM and the screenshot of the whole project from workbench file? Also, I see in your picture that you have only one design point. Have you tried adding more design points or you just modify values in single design points and record results? |

Thank you for you reply Dr. Vasava
Please find the archived ansys, as you advised; https://drive.google.com/open?id=0B_...3FQa0NVWlU0TmM Actually I'm working on 576 design points and divided them into 32 ansys files with 18 design points each. (It's a huge number of design points to study that's why i'm planning to correlate my parameters later, but now i'm interested in assuring that parameter set works fine and i can export my results from each DP without creating a seperate ansys file for each one) The Mesh Update problem appears when worked on the 18-DPs file, that's why i've created the single design point ansys file as a troubleshooting procedure. I really appreciate your help, Thanks. |
