Hi,
I am using ANSYS meshing tool in Workbench 14.5. I am setting up a transient model for a three bladed turbine in 2D. I want to apply a named selection to a group of elements, the inflation layers around the airfoil, for the purpose of dynamic meshing in Fluent so that the inflation layers move with the airfoil and do not remesh at each timestep? I think this may be possible in ANSYS 15.0, but I was wondering if it is possible in 14.5? If anybody has any idea how I can get around this issue it would be greatly appreciated. Thank you for your help. |

Yes, it is possible to use dynamic mesh with Ansys 14.5. I recommend you go through the tutorial titled Using a UDF to Control the Dynamic Mesh of a Flexible Oscillating Membrane
which demonstrates how dynamic mesh works in Fluent. |
