Hello everybody,

I'm new to Ansys CFX and i have some problems with generating a mesh in turbogrid.

I have a given geometry of an impeller. The flow will continue in a diffusor, which has its own mesh.
My problem:
I want to generate the mesh of the impeller in turbogrid with ATM Optimized and a frozen rotor setup. When I open the geometry, there is a grey line, which surrounds my geometry. This line vanish, when i swith off "outline". Unfortunately this outline is to large and overlaps with the following diffusor. If i generate the mesh, there is also mesh in the part of the outline after the impeller, where the mesh of the diffusor already is.

How can I edit this outline, so that my mesh ends a specif length behind the impeller blades?

Thank you for your help

you can edit end points and specify its axial and radial coordinates.

Thank you for the answer.
I have checked the position of the outlet. It is at the right position.
If I generate the mesh, I will also have a mesh in the blue marked (picture) area, where i don't need one. Where can i modify this part?

Ok. This is due to options in "Mesh data" panel : inlet and outlet domain...

Case 1 : (with inlet and outlet domain unchecked)

With inlet and outlet domain option checked :
