Hello to all...

I have a question about ADINA interface in ICEM CFD.

I am trying to output the generated mesh into ADINA simulation software, however ADINA is unable to read the input file. (ADINA 8.9)

Reading through the input file, I can see that ADINA interface in ICEM CFD 15.0 is outdated and I think that is the problem:

"A D I N A - I N V E R S I O N 7 . 3 I N P U T F I L E"

Is there any work around for this problem?

Best wishes

Hi Daniel,
I concord with you that ADINA 7.3 is very old.
If you can, you should try to export your problem using Nastran format (.op2 or .dat) .
In particular .op2 is very well accepted by ADINA 8.9
I hope to be helpful.
Bye

Thank you very much for the answer.
I am currently using Nastran format to export my model.
However, I am facing another issue using imported Nastran model.

ADINA wont allow me to use spatial function in this situation (for example applying parabolic velocity profile).

Best wishes,
Danial Khazaei

Yes, it is right. It happens because you don't have any kind of geometry (with associated mesh data) to use to define spatial functions.
Only possibility it to try to define an Element-face set where assign loads; but I'm not sure that is possible to apply Spatial Functions: Handbook says yes, but load widget doesn't show the 'Spatial Function' tab.
