Hello.

I have a problem with hexa meshing of the container that is presented in the pictures below. I have no problem with meshing when the top and bottom of container are flat surfaces. But now, that I am trying to do it with curved surfaces, I am stucked.

I tried to block the whole geometry, split it where the curvature begins, and then make O-grid for top and bottom part (I used type of O-grid, as I would mesh quarter of a sphere). But than I couldnīt make O-grid in the middle part of the continer (cylindrical part), so a lot of cells had very bad angles .

Is it possible to first make good O-grid mesh in the middle part of the container. There I would just use O-grid for half of a cylinder. And then make the mesh for top and bottom.
Or am I doing this totally wrong? If so, could someone please give me some guidelines what would be the most efficient way to mesh this.

Probably I should ask this first: Although the geometry is quite simple, is it possible to make a good hexa mesh at all?

Thanks.

You can create the ogrid structure in just one step (Pics are attached). You can see the initial blocking, block+face selection for ogrid creation and the resulting mesh.
