Hello everybody,

I am trying to perform a simulation of the air flow inside the cylinder of a diesel engine. Since the beginning of this year I am learning about Ansys ICEM CFD and Ansys CFX to perform this task. Now I'm feeling comfortably enough to start working with moving mesh and in order to do this, I wanted to start with a simple example to learn all the procedures of remeshing, that are extremely necessary in case of high mesh deformations. For this reason, I tried to perform the tutorial presented on this article(http://www.edr.se/blogg/blogg/ansys_...cfx_re_meshing) to learn it. I did everything described: Created the mesh in ICEM CFD, recording replay scripts in order to use it later in CFX. Exported the mesh to CFX, created all the boundaries, the motion and the mesh quality control expressions, set a new configuration and a remeshing process defining expressions of the displacement of the moving wall.
However, when I try to run the solution, the geometry is replacing to the starting point during remeshing, even though the plot of the displacement is showing constant progress in one direction. So my question is: What I need to write on the ICEM script to tell the moving parts of the mesh to be remeshed in the new position, due to the displacement?

Thanks in advance,
Mateus Dias Ribeiro

Hi again,

I found what was wrong. I made a mistake in the script recording process in ICEM.

Thanks anyway,
Mateus
