Hi Everybody

Hope you people are enjoying meshing with ICEM CFD .

As usual I have come up with something new for you.

You are certaily familar with the wing-body tutorial (Link is given below for ICEM CFD tutorail V 11.0 Help - See page No. 251)

This tutorial has given me initial lessons on ICEM CFD and I have learned great deal of ICEM CFD by practicing this tutorial. But did you notice, you cannot use this meshing strategy (You have to give some final touches to make it useable, however initial steps are exactly same) to mesh your model and make it ready for CFD simulation.

As I said earlier the initial steps like splitting blocks, setting sizes etc are same. The difference between this academic mesh and ready-to-run-mesh is how you use O-grids.

The O-grids are created in three steps:

1. First O-grid created around Wing with lower face (face common to wing and fuselage) selected.

2. Made few splits on wing (two splits) and especially notice the split at after leading edge. In the tip block (near the leading edge in tip region), another o-grid is inserted with tip face selected. Also I moved vertices in this block (6 blocks in total) to make the mesh perfect.

3. Then another O-grid around fuselage.

Please feel free to ask any step, you are not able to understand. Files are attached. Min angle is > 21 and quality is > 0.59
