Hey Guys!
I made two hexa-meshes in ICEM. They both should be connected later. For merging the meshes it is necessary, that the nodes on both surfaces are in equal position. I'm often changing Edge Parameters(Number of Nodes, Spacing,...) of the first mesh, so I also have to change them then manually in the second mesh to keep the nodes in the right position. My question now: Is there a simple way to link those Edge Parameters? I started marking the Parameters of the second mesh, which were put out to a list at the Workbench 14.5. But I couldn't manage to get the Parameters of the first mesh and link them. Any ideas how to deal with that problem? Thx |

not sure if this help, but why not importing the 2´nd blocking into the 1st and merge them?

If you want to do it with WB parameters, then create parameter of the edge on both blockings. In WB, enter the name of one of the parameters as the expression, instead of the number

Importing the blocking doesn't work.
I have a ring of 20 blades. 18 blades are identical, so I segmented the ring, made one blocking and reproduced the blocking with the "copy periodic blocking"-function in "transform blocks". The two other blades are different, so I made an own segment and blocking for them. The vertices perfectly matched, so they merge if I merge the topologies. The problem is, that parts of the two "symmetrical" surfaces aren't associated right. Because of that error I thought it would be bether, keeping the blockings separated, and then in the end merge the meshes. |

Problem solved!!!
I deleted the two violet surfaces of the 2-blades-segment under Geometry-->delete surface. Thx for your quick replies!! |
