Hi all.
Does anybody know if it is possible to invert this geometry, so I get only the fluid part? The assembly shows a nozzle with 3 inlets and one outlet.

Or is it preferable to put this geometry as it is into cfx and comsol, which I am going to use for my analysis?
The geometry is drawn in Solidworks

you can do that in pretty much all the cad software. in designmodeler, you just close all the hole and use the fills by caps option. if you don't know how to close the holes, you can use "fill by cavity".
Another way to do that will be to extrude a frozen body, and do a boolean operation.
Give it a try in designmodeler, it's very easy, come back if you are stuck i will gladly help you...

Thanks for your answer.
I couldn't really get the fill by cavity to work, because I had to click on every face inside my geometry and I think I missed some of them every time I tried.
But I figured out how to close the holes by 'surface from edges' and the I used the 'fill by caps'

there is a solution for this, when you select one face, there is a special icon when you can expend your selection "to the limits" without having to select each face. keep it in mind

Hi guys,

I have a problem, which I think you could help with.

I have a geometry with two bodies on top of each other with some distance, and its closed with surface bodies and surface patch on the sides. I tried the fill by caps operational but it did not work.

Creating frozen bodies with extrude may be possible but very difficult for this geometry.

How do I create internal fluid volume?

For some complex geometry is better use a external modeler to create the fluid domain and after*you*just import the fluid body to ANSYS.DesignModeler*is a poor CAD software even in the revent version.
