I try to use "layers" for simple 3d model of the tube (it have the wall, the inlet and the outlet):
1) I create the PID for the wall. 2) I mesh all the surface (wall, inlet and outlet) 3) I use "layering" for the PID of wall with default parameters 4) Ansa hasn't remade the mesh on the surfaces inlet and outlet. It has connected the elements of the prismatic layer with the already existed mesh. Thus the quality of the received mesh is poor. How can I remesh the two surfaces automatically? |

hi there
I suspect you may not be using ANSA in CFD layout. I would recommend that you select CFD from the ANSA launcher window In this way the software starts with optimum predefined settings for CFD work. I also suspect that you have surface meshed the surfaces with quads and not trias. In the standard ANSA layout there is a setting in side treatment tab of layers to auto connect to map quads. If your mesh is quads on inlet and outlet ANSA will try to connect to the existing quads which are not in fact map quad pattern. So de-activate the auto connect to map quad option before growing layers. Even better start ANSA in CFD layout! Hope this helps Vangelis |
