UTK MABE is seeking one PhD student in the following areas: 1. Aerodynamic shape optimization 2. Scientific 
machine learning 3. Laminar-turbulent transition/flow stability 4. Vehicle design 5. Flow control. The student 
is expected to have a strong background in math and programming. 

- Math: Comfortable with numerical ODE/PDE/linear algera.
- Programming: python + C++/fortran. Having programmed CFD solver before is a plus.
- BS/MS degree in engineering/computer science/applied math, or other related 
disciplines
- If you are interested in SciML, previous experience with ML is a requirement.
