Postdoctoral Position in Machine Learning and Numerical Algorithms with Applications

We encourage applicants with experience in applying machine learning to optimize numerical algorithms, such as FEM. We welcome applicants from diverse backgrounds, including fluid mechanics, geosciences, and so on.

The Shenzhen Key Laboratory of Advanced Machine Learning and Applications at the Department of Applied Mathematics of Shenzhen University and the KAUST Innovation Hub in Shenzhen invite applications for a postdoctoral position in Machine Learning and Numerical Algorithms with Applications.

Position Details:
Duration: Full-time for two years
Salary: 338,000 RMB – 420,000 RMB per year (approximately 47,000 – 58,000 USD)
Number of Position: 3 Positions
Teaching Duties: None
Responsibilities:
The successful candidate will engage in both theoretical research and practical implementation of machine learning methods, with a focus on: training algorithms, numerical algorithms, signal processing, image processing and related areas.

Additional Opportunities:
The successful candidate can choose to enroll in the Visiting Scholar Program sponsored by the KAUST-SZU Joint Lab for Mathematics, Data, and Application (MDA). The candidate can visit King Abdullah University of Science and Technology (KAUST) and conduct research co-supervised by KAUST researchers.This program lasts for 3-6 months and includes an additional stipend during the visit, along with free housing provided by KAUST.
