The Iowa State University’s Computational Aerodynamics and Aeroacoustics Laboratory (ISU CAAL) is seeking a highly motivated PhD student to join a research project investigating aerodynamically generated ultrasound. Project Description: Using a combined computational and experimental approach, this exciting project will explore aerodynamic whistles to generate ultrasound for bat deterrence in wind farms. The successful candidate will develop and utilize advanced computational aeroacoustics (CAA) simulations to predict noise generation while designing and conducting wind tunnel experiments for validation.
