We are seeking a highly motivated Postdoctoral Research Associate to join our 
dynamic research team focused on advancing the understanding of compressible 
reactive flows. The successful candidate will work on direct and large-eddy 
simulations of compressible reactive flows and develop novel subgrid strategies.

Key Responsibilities:

- Conduct direct and large eddy simulations of compressible reactive flows.
- Develop numerical methods and subgrid models for high-fidelity computations.
- Develop a research code infrastructure for testing methods and models.
- Analyze simulation data using Python scripting.
- Mentor graduate and undergraduate students, providing guidance and support in 
their research.
- Assist the Principal Investigator (PI) in designing experiments, analyzing 
results, and disseminating findings through publications and presentations.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to integrate findings into broader 
research efforts.
 

Required Minimum Qualifications:
- PhD
 

Preferred Qualifications:
- Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Combustion Science, 
Fluid mechanics, Applied Physics, Applied Mathematics or related field.
- Strong background in high-speed combustion, detonation waves, and fluid 
dynamics.
- Expertise in high-fidelity numerical methods and subgrid-scale modeling 
techniques. 
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, C/C++, or Fortran.
- Experience in developing codes from scratch for computational simulations.
