We have one fully-funded PhD student position available in our Department of 
Civil Engineering for the Fall of 2024 or Spring of 2025. This position focus on 
combining regional weather models (e.g., WRF) and CFD models (e.g., OpenFOAM) for 
simulating wind dynamics and heat islands at the hyper-resolution scale. Expertise 
in machine learning/AI is a plus. We are seeking highly motivated students with 
excellent programming skills (e.g., Python, C++, Fortran) and experience in open-
