The laboratory of Intelligent Multiphase Flows and Particle Technology at  
Shanghai Jiao Tong University has two PhD opening positions. The laboratory has 
carried out extensive industry- university-research projects with multinational 
companies. The current research mainly focuses on multiphase computational fluid 
dynamics and the development of digital twins for fluid and particle systems, 
recently working on the fusion of machine learning/Artificial intelligence and 
multiscale modeling for industrial applications such as civil, petrochemical, 
and pharmaceutical processes. 

Qualifications:
1. MSc degree in Engineering, Mathematics, or Physics
2. Background on fluid dynamics, heat transfer, particle technology, or machine 
learning.
3. Excellent verbal and written English skills.
4. Have Programming skills or excellent in using commercial simulation software.
