Experienced CFD Developer - Multi-Phase Flows
Build the future of simulation models and algorithms for multiphase flows.
You’re going to be joining a team of innovative, creative, and experienced
engineers with a vision to disrupt various industries. With heavy investment –
circa $30m – from a highly respected VC, there’s a perfect platform to reach the
goal of building the world’s best cloud-based physics simulation software.
The goal is to empower engineers to rapidly iterate and test their products.
You’ll be focusing on the modelling and algorithmic innovation within the team,
specifically building the part of the software that simulated the movement and
interaction of liquids and gasses in all kinds of scenarios.
There’s a myriad of problems that you’ll deal with, from contaminant transport,
dusty flows involving gas-solid systems, all the way to gas-liquid and liquid-
liquid flows with cavitation, droplet formation and breakup from gas-liquid
interfaces, phase change and chemical reactions. You’ll have lots to focus on
and be encouraged to be creative.
Because of this, you’re going to need to have a strong background in CFD, either
from experience of a MS or PhD in CFD. This CFD experience will need to be
focused on modelling of multi-phase flows in any or all of gas-solid, gas-liquid
or liquid-liquid flows. Experience in both Eulerian and Lagrangian methods will
also be required. Any exposure to GPU computing to solve these equation systems
will also be a huge plus. Interfacial mechanics modelling and turbulence
modelling (RANS to LES) would also be great.
Finally, experience with modern C++ in a commercial software development world
would be highly desired.
Starting salary could be anywhere in the region up to $250,000 + benefits and
you’ll be joining a company with a huge desire to scale fast and truly disrupt
the HPC industry within various sectors, specifically the engineering sector.
You’ll be led by a team of industry and technology experts who’ve not only got
the right ideas and experience, but they’ve also got the $30m of investment to
make the business grow.
