The Flow Physics Simulation Laboratory (FPSL) in the School of Mechanical & Aerospace Engineering at 
Oklahoma State University invites enthusiastic individuals to apply for fully funded PhD positions focused on 
Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) for aerospace applications.





About FPSL: 

Established in 2023, FPSL specializes in simulating complex turbulent flows for aerospace applications. We 
use advanced mathematical tools to analyze our simulations and gain insights into flow physics.

Our interdisciplinary approach involves close collaboration with experimentalists, providing expertise in 
mathematical tools to analyze measured data.





What is included in Graduate Assistantships?

The PhD-assistantships include tuition, health insurance, stipend, and other costs such as travel to major 
conferences.





Preferred Qualifications:

1.	Minimum undergraduate degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Applied Physics, 
Applied Mathematics, or any other related field.

2.	Prior experience with CFD is preferred but not required. 

3.	Proficiency in programming skills is a plus.

About the PI:

Dr. Chitrarth Prasad is an Assistant Professor in the School of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering at 
Oklahoma State University. Prior to this role, he worked as a Postdoctoral Scholar at the Ohio State 
University’s High-Fidelity Multi-Physics Laboratory. Dr. Prasad holds a PhD in Aerospace Engineering from 
Pennsylvania State University. His research interests include aeroacoustics, hypersonics and unsteady
