One postdoctoral research position is available in the School of Meteorology at the University of Oklahoma. The successful candidate will work in the broad area of numerical modeling of cloud processes in large eddy simulation. This position is funded by an NSF grant which focuses on improving subgrid-scale parameterizations of interactions between turbulence and cloud microphysical processes in large eddy simulation. The successful candidate will also have the opportunity interact with collaborators at OU and other institutions. Research experience in turbulence, cloud microphysics, numerical modeling, and high performance computing is highly desirable. The successful candidate should hold a Ph.D. in atmospheric science, engineering, applied mathematics, or a closely related field and will be advised by Prof. Scott Salesky. Salary will be competitive and commensurate with experience and will include the generous OU benefits package. This position will be located in the National Weather Center in Norman, OK.
