Postdoctoral Fellow Positions – Flow Simulation of Wind Turbines

The School of Engineering at the Lebanese American University (LAU) invites 
applications for qualified Postdoctoral Fellow (PD) positions in the field of 
wind engineering. These are non-resident positions where PD would collaborate 
with their peers at LAU on an online fashion.

Eligibility
Applicants must have demonstrated an ability in conducting innovative research 
and must have led and published impactful scholarly work during their studies. 
Candidates must have earned a Ph.D. in Engineering or closely related fields.  

Position context
Recruitment of research faculty as Postdoctoral Fellows is intended to deepen 
expertise in the subject area and is expected to yield relevant publications.  
The PD appointment provides the candidate with opportunities to work on their 
professional development, and to further their career goals. The appointment 
involves significant research endeavors and requires knowledge of CFD packages 
such as ANSYS fluent with expertise in UDFs. The initial term for this position 
is for one year that may be renewed based on performance.
Accepted applicants will need to deliver an expert talk on a quarterly basis and 
have publish minimum of 2 SCI papers by the end of their term. Accordingly, you 
will be provided with a PD certificate stating that you have conducted research 
in your field of expertise in collaboration with LAU.
As an incentive, you will be eligible to receive from LAU a research subsidy 
based on your performance and subject to the sole discretion of LAU.
