CFD Applications Engineer

Convergent Science is an innovative, rapidly expanding computational fluid 
dynamics software company. We specialize in modeling turbulent reacting flows 
with our flagship product, CONVERGE, which is a revolutionary CFD software with 
truly autonomous meshing capabilities. Convergent Science is headquartered in 
Madison, Wisconsin, and has offices in the United States, Europe, and India.

Position Overview
This job posting is for a full-time position at our headquarters in Madison, 
Wisconsin. We are seeking an engineer to support, train, and perform consulting 
services for our clients. Other duties include running cases with new features 
and sharing your results, as well as developing proposals for future work.

Requirements
M.S. or Ph.D. in engineering, computer science, mathematics, or related field
Extensive CFD knowledge
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Experience programming in C, C++, Fortran, and MPI (desirable)
Knowledge of combustion, turbulence, and spray modeling (desirable)
Background in chemical kinetics (desirable)
Gas turbine simulation experience (desirable)
Electric motor simulation experience (desirable)
Pump and compressor simulation experience (desirable)
Internal combustion engine simulation experience (desirable)
On-site client visits and conference attendance will be required occasionally, 
so applicants should be willing to travel. In addition to the technical 
knowledge required for this position, applicants should be outgoing, creative, 
and highly motivated.
