Applications are invited from highly motivated candidates for a 3 years
fixed term post-doctoral position that focus on schooling/sensory behavior 
of natural swimmers, and soft-body kinetics through flexible tubes/veins.
 
The position is now open in our Computational Physics & Flow Control Lab.
Department of Aerospace and Software Engineering,
Gyeongsang National University, South Korea.

Successful applicant should have a PhD in Mathematics/Physics/Chemical or 
bio-Engineering Field, plus a good record of scientific publications
in international journals, excellent written/oral communication skills,
experience in areas of theoretical and computational fluid dynamics (CFD).
  Successful candidate will perform original research work in modeling: 
  (i)  Interaction of capsules/RBCs/WBCs in constricted flexible channels.
  (ii) Bioinspired swimming activity and prey capture by natural swimmers
       and role of the oral arms/tentacles.  
  (ii) Unstable electro spinning and breakup of liquid drops/jets in EHD.
  
 Our focus is to provide in-depth advanced knowledge in above research
 topics, based on the established theoretical and computational models.

 The position with competitive salary is supported by National Research 
 Foundation (NRF), South Korea, plus Korean Government projects (BK21+).

 Motivated persons with experience in: Multi-phase hydrodynamics, COMSOL
 Multiphysics, Gerris flow solver, Front tracking finite volume/level-set/
 VOF method, immersed boundary method (IBM), and lattice Boltzmann (LBM)
 approach are highly encouraged to apply.
 The efficient 3D LBM-IBM models have already been established and widely
 used in the Lab. and can be quickly grasped.
 
 Applicants should have a Ph.D. degree and expertise in computational
 fluid dynamics/engineering/scientific computing/applied mathematics.

  The academic requirements are:
 * Ph.D. in Computational fluid dynamics, with basic background in
   Aerospace/Mechanical/Chemical engineering/applied mathematics.
