Altair has an opening for a Senior Technical Specialist / Scientist who will
join Altair's dynamic and agile ultraFluidX solver development team.

ultraFluidX is Altair's innovative CFD solution for high-fidelity external
aerodynamics. It is based on an efficient GPU implementation of the Lattice
Boltzmann method and is smoothly embedded into the Altair pre- and
postprocessing tools. The solver is mainly developed in Altair's Munich and
Hamburg, Germany offices, with contributors worldwide.

The successful applicant will play a leading role in the ultraFluidX turbulence
modeling activities and will work in close cooperation with the entire
ultraFluidX development team.

 
What You Will Do:

- Lead the ultraFluidX turbulence modeling activities
- Development and adaptation of wall models and turbulence models for
  industrial applications
- Development and in-depth validation of corresponding software prototypes
 

What You Will Need:

Basics

- Ph.D. degree in mechanical engineering or comparable fields with a focus on
  turbulence modeling and external aerodynamics
- 5+ years of non-academic experience in external aerodynamics
- Solid track record in wall-modeled Large Eddy Simulation
- Hands-on experience in CFD solver development
- Excellent English language skills

Preferred

- Experience with the Lattice Boltzmann Method
- CUDA programming skills
