A graduate research assistantship (stipend + tuition waiver) starting Spring
2021 or Fall 2021 is available in the Department of Oceanography and Coastal
Sciences at Louisiana State University. The student will work on a 5-year
project sponsored by the National Science Foundation. The project numerically
studies upper-ocean turbulence and its effects on mixing, dispersion, as well as
gas transfer across the air-sea interface. The student will also participate in
the outreach component of the project that involves interactions with
undergraduate students, middle/high school teachers, and the general public.
Applicants must have a master's or an undergraduate degree in a closely related
field. Past experience in ocean modeling or CFD is desired. If interested,
