I'm trying to write a macro in Tecplot to create a movie from a large set of layout files. The only problem I have is how to get Tecplot to loop through all of the layout files in my folder without having to rename them all 1, 2, 3 etc. and lose my time specific filenames. If I rename them, I know I can just use a basic loop command.
For example, does anyone know how to get Tecplot to sequentially go from one file to the next in a folder with names like these: 017-1-0.216900.lay 017-1-0.217578.lay 017-1-0.218124.lay 017-1-0.218719.lay If not this, does anyone have any suggestions on the best approach to write a macro to create a movie from a collection of layout files without having to manually enter each filename in the macro (and pretty much defeating the time saving purpose of the macro)? Thanks, Ted |

I think you can go to the forums at www.tecplottalk.com to post your questions. They should be able to help.

I didn't know that existed. Thank you for the suggestion.
