Hi, everyone,
Who knows how to change axial value to relative value in the Tecplot, for example, current value/5? Thanks |

Hello Lig,
This can be accomplished in Tecplot 360 by creating a new variable via the data alter command, and then setting the new variable as a new axis. Via the Tecplot menu , go to Data>>Alter>>Specify Equations {new variable}=0 And then {new variable}= [current value]/5 More details on how to do this can be found on www.tecplottalk.com , with a suggested search keyword of “alter”. Information on the “Data>>Alter” command is also located in the user manual in Chapter 21 (page 299): http://www.tecplot.com/Support/Documentation.aspx A more general description on shifting frames of references for analysis of heterogeneous data is described by Dr. Scott Imlay, Tecplot’s Director of Research, in this white paper: http://www.tecplot.com/Community/Whi...neousData.aspx (note: this paper is not a Tecplot tutorial). Regards, Scott |
