Hi to all of you,
I'm trying to obtain a data file (.txt) of Pressure coefficient of my 2D geometry. Looking on the web I understood that a possible way is to develope a Python script and link it to Tecplot 360. Unfortunately I have no experience with Python and I'd like to find an alternative way. Does someone have an idea on how to obtain such file directly from Tecplot ? Thanks to all |

Hello Nick,
There are a number of different ways to write-out ascii files with Tecplot 360. Here is a video that describes how to write out Tecplot ascii formatted .dat files (you could change the extension to .txt easily). See the transcript: 3. How do I write out extracted slices, or the line I just extracted, or that data point through time? [47:54] https://www.tecplot.com/2021/11/17/t...est-practices/ You can go to File>Write Data... to do this action. Secondly, you could also try Tools>Write Data as Formatted Text... to write-out a more simple text file. Does this answer your question? |
